MARIO'S PIZZA (Pizza)

This stall is located in lower ground floor at 1Borneo, Likas.  If I'm craving for pizza but unwilling to drain my purse, I'd head here.

a choice of Pizzette, Calzones, Ripiena..etc..etc

PIZZAAA! RM5.90 per slice

glass  fogged up because it was newly baked and still hot

My choice for that day...unfortunately was a bad choice.  The ingredients tasted good, except that it was very very salty..it was very hard for me to finish it and I had to straightaway look for drinks to wash it down.

But I know there's a few that tasted good, so of course I'd be going back there again :D

FIRST WORLD CAFE (Buffet) ***HALAL**

Went to Genting Highland Resort for holiday, stayed at the First World Hotel.  We figured it was easier to eat at the Buffet spread they have at level three.  I didn't get to take many pic of the food, but this will give you some idea of whats offered there

The Main Buffet spread

There was a few cooking station stalls selling fried noodle, duck rice, mussels, stir fried veggies among others

The bird tasted good, the other dish tasted just average

The star of the buffet had to be the dessert spread.  It's one of the best that I've tasted.  They didn't skimp on the ingredients for it.  Would probably the only time I couldn't finish a chocolate dessert because of the too intense taste.   It was as rich chocolatey as it can get.  If what they say is true about the aphrodisiac quality of chocolate, I think half a tea spoon should be enough dose for the day lol.

Fruit..Fruit..

and more fruit! lol

Not to say that its value for money, but its filling :)

SHOGUN JAPANESE BUFFET (Sunway Pyramid Mall) **SERVES NO PORK**

We weren't planning on going to the any Buffet restaurant that day, was just window shopping, until we saw the price..'From 36.50++ all-you-can-eat-buffet!!!!''.... but being that its weekend, the price would of course be slightly higher, about 58++ which is actually very very worth it if you see the spread they prepared ..and they have discount for senior citizen and no charge for kids under 4 years old!

The entrance

the first thing we saw was the Sashimi and Sushi spread..and on that spread alone, you already get your money's worth!

and of course the first target, SALMON!!

the Salmon was fresh and delicious and I love the crunchy fish skin

a selection of sushi ...and soft shell crab as decorations lol

next target....grilled section! grilled oyster, soft shell crab, grilled escargo..etc etc..the choices were amazing

I'll let you guess whats on the plates :P

or I could just tell you lol

The cooked food section with 4 kinds of soup..shark fin's soup and miso soup were among the choices

These would be my fourth plate of Salmon's belly :P

These are the chinese food sections..unfortunately, we checked out the place after we finished platefuls of other dishes, so yes we were full lol.  We only managed to try one basket of dim sum

Finally dessert!! few choices of ice-creams, cakes and salads...oh drinks aplenty too

All in all a very satisfactory lunch!

Kedai Kopi Ria (NGIU CHAP)**SERVES NO PORK**

This shop is located at a corner in Damai Plaza, Luyang, opposite the Multibake Bakery.  The Ngiu Chap here is a Thai style, so the soup is clear and very refreshing.  A word of caution: they add chopped chili in every bowl, so you should request for no chili if you're not into the hot spicy food

I asked for a large portion, it has 2 huuge meatballs, I'm not sure if its homemade, but it tasted like no other commercially-made meatball. Very meaty and chewy. The meatball soup has a different taste and very very hot and spicy and of course very very good
The soup has a subtle taste and the meats are fresh and plentiful.  The condiments of chili and assam water is perfect for this dish.

Ngiu Chap (Small) : RM4.50
                  (Large) : RM5.50

Meatball Soup        : RM4.50

MILLENIUM CORNER (Western Food) **SERVES NO PORK**

This place is at the corner near the roundabout at CKS Jalan Kobusak, there's a stall selling chicken wings outside the the place.

And it was at this place that the first time I heard of a Fried Lambchop. I was curious and wondering how it would taste like, so I ordered that one. When it arrived, I was amazed by the huge portion of it, and whats more two big portion of lambchop!

would you look at that size!! it came with black paper sauce, french fries and a coleslaw.

That black pepper sauce was good

...and the taste? amazingly good!..I thought initially that its going to be greasy and would taste oily..and surprisingly its not, and it goes very well with the sauce.
 ****

Another dish that's worth a mention is the Lamb Shank.  THIS is a dish to die for!..the meat was tender and flavourful and the sauce was just perfectly seasoned, huge portion too..

half-eaten delicious lamb shank

Their Fish and Chips was also plentiful..but the taste was not up to my standard, the fish was not seasoned well, so it tasted bland after a few bites...but still a good eat

Here's a menu to let you choose.  They offered a variety of choices and the portions are large bordering to huge....

and there's rice dishes too, for those that wants only rice.
